Call for Submissions
Seasons Magazine is published biannually, with a Spring/Summer and a Fall/Winter edition. We welcome submissions year-round and are always looking for content for future issues—including potential cover models.
At the moment, we have reached our capacity for our Fall/Winter 2026 issue.
Submission guidelines for authors:
Seasons Magazine is distributed to every long-term care home in Ontario, and enjoyed by residents, their families, staff, and home leadership. We welcome articles about resident-led initiatives, quality-improvement projects (with resident perspectives included), and stories that celebrate meaningful resident engagement and the positive aspects of living in long-term care.
When pitching articles, consider:
- Is the resident experience the main focus?
- Is your article focused on one program, topic, or initiative?
- Is it written in clear, plain language that is easy for someone without a clinical or medical background to understand?
- Does it meet the word count maximum of 300 words?
- Is your program, topic, or initiative something that might be adapted or replicated in another long-term care home?
- Is your story innovative, inspiring, or providing a creative solution to a problem?
